WEB BANNERS – ROOM 2046 ONLINE SHOP & PROMOTIONS
2012-2017
As the Marketing Manager and owner of Room 2046, a concept retail shop, I provided the creative direction along with the development and execution of marketing campaigns – both online and offline. Above are some banners that had been featured on the homepage of the e-commerce website, www.Room2046.com. As the business owner, I wore multiple hats (and bootstrapped), so naturally, I wrote all the copy, created each layout, photographed almost every image seen here, and published them. Eventually, I trained the staff and interns on creating these banners. I encouraged them to come up with their own copy as long as they adhered to the brand personality, minimalist feel, and clean look.

EMAIL CAMPAIGNS – ROOM 2046 ONLINE SHOP & MARKETING
2012-2017
Above are select email campaigns distributed to Room 2046 subscribers and customers throughout the calendar year to announce promotions, introduce new brands and products, provide updates, inspire, amuse, and ultimately, generate sales and traffic. Along with the banners featured on the website, many of the Instagram captions, and social media posts, these emails were often peppered with wit, humour, and certainly puns. The quirkiness in tone was reflective of the sense of fun and approachability the Room 2046 team exuded in-person. We joked a lot with our regular customers, and engaged in friendly conversations with new ones. Essentially, the brand's personality and ethos, not only were steeped in the selection of products offered, but imparted a whimsical voice to the communication pieces.
I conceived the campaign ideas and themes; developed and produced each email, including all the copywriting (from the subject line to the body content) and graphic design. For each launch I measured and analyzed the results, and on some occasions, conducted A/B testing. These email blasts yielded about 42% average of open rates – well above the 15.62% retail industry average – and drove immediate results in sales and traffic, both online and offline.
