2017 ANNUAL REPORT – COLLEGE-MONTROSE CHILDREN'S PLACE
Select pages displayed; 10 x 7 in; 2018

As the sole art director and graphic designer for this project, my goal was to produce an accessible annual report that draws and and sustains readers' attention by organizing the content and statistics in easy-to-read, digestible chunks. In doing so, I created simple infographics, and was deliberate in using white space and the primarily green and blue colour palette throughout. In addition, I opted for large photographs as full page spreads to achieve visual impact. Upon completion of this project, staff members had expressed how the 2017 Annual Report was a favourite at CMCP by far.

CORPORATE CATERING MENU & SUMMER BBQ MENU – KISS THE COOK CATERING
Select pages displayed; 8.5 x 11 in; 2018

Founder and CEO of Kiss the Cook Catering, Fia Pagnello envisions the brand of her growing business to be fun, friendly, slightly rustic, but also professional, reliable, and flexible. Having undergone a recent rebrand, she wanted to refresh and modify the existing lackadaisically-designed menus to share a similar aesthetic with the revamped website. After discussing the objectives, with the new branding guidelines in mind, I redesigned the content-heavy, 28-paged corporate catering menu, followed by the lighter and quirkier summer BBQ menu.

DOWNLOAD CARD & ONLINE PARTY FLYER – SUXESS
Left: 2.7 x 2.7 in; Right: 1200 x 630 px; 2018

SUXESS is a Toronto-based indie rock band, formed by a few members from the now defunct Moderngirls Modernboys band. Working closely with lead singer and song-writer Brett Millius, I had conceived the name "Excess" and provided the art direction for the digital EP cover – from photography to print design. I was the photographer, graphic designer, as well as the editor/videographer at the show. View a clip of the performance here.

PRINT COMMUNICATION MATERIALS – YMCA OF GREATER TORONTO
Various sizes; 2008

In 2008, I worked as the Communications Specialist in Graphic Design for the Communications Team at the YMCA. Essentially, as the in-house designer, I was involved in the visual conception, art direction, and printing coordination of multiple promotional and communication pieces comprising posters, invitations, signage, cards, flyers, and newsletters. Displayed above are select pieces.

PRINT COMMUNICATION MATERIALS – GOVERNMENT OF ONTARIO
Various sizes; 2008-2010

From 2008-2010, I designed and coordinated the production of several communication pieces that included booklets, annual reports, flyers, and other documents for the Ministry of Communication and Social Services. The select pieces as seen above exhibit my inclination to infuse colours and utilize unconventional sizes (for government standards) in the print materials. The ongoing (fun) challenge in designing governmental work was to translate complex, dry information and often, dense text into accessible pieces the public could easily understand.
